Open Food Facts

TelemetryDeck

Firebase

AI Classification Service

When you use the AI classification feature, product information (text only, such as ingredient lists) is sent to our servers for analysis. This data is processed to provide NOVA classifications and is not used for any other purpose. No images are sent or analyzed by the AI classification service.

Data Storage and Security

  • Scan history is stored locally on your device
  • Subscription data is managed securely through Apple and RevenueCat
  • Analytics data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you
  • We implement appropriate security measures to protect any data transmitted to our servers

Data Retention

  • Local data remains on your device until you delete the app
  • Analytics data is retained in anonymized form
  • AI classification data is processed in real-time and not retained
